I just picked up a quarter, and had this moment of epiphany as I held it in my fingers.

I looked at it and the thought came to my mind: "this thing is fake."

I eventually rationalized it as my brain trying to get to "this coin isn't worth the metal it's made out of." That probably isn't even true, but it's weird to think that the official currency is "fake" so that's what I jumped to.

And then I thought, this feeling is probably more about how illegitimate the US Government is. I hope everyone experiences this epiphany in a myriad ways so that the US Government can crumble and fall like the USSR did.
