@sev I got suspended from Twitter for suggesting Fauci, et al, should be tried & executed (actually using the word "executed")... you know shit's fucked when psychopath virologists are celebrated & common folk are regulated...

Down in Mexicali
There's a crazy little place that I know
Where the drinks are hotter than the chili sauce
And the boss is a cat named Joe

He wears a red bandanna, plays a cool piano
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico
He wears a purple sash and a black mustache
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico

Well, the first time that I saw him
He was sittin' on a piano stool
I said "Tell me, man, when does the fun begin?"
He just winked his eye and said, "Man, be cool"

All of a sudden in walks a chick
Joe starts playing on a Latin kick
Around her waist she wore three fishnets
She started dancin' with the castanets
I didn't know just what to expect
She threw her arms around my neck
We started dancin' all around the floor
And then she did a dance I never saw before

So if you're south of the border
I mean down in the Mexico
And you wanna get straight, man, don't hesitate
Just look up a cat named Joe

A while back, I had the privilege of talking to an old acquaintance who became a professional interviewer for major corporate businesses and asking him some questions, discussing what his job was like. There was one particular question and answer that still stick out to me.
>"Why don't employers like to see gaps in resumes?"
He said there was the usual spiel that people like to give the interviewee about how it makes them look flakey or irresponsible, but there was another reason too: It meant that you didn't care about the money. They had no power to keep you there, because they knew that they could only offer material things in exchange for your finite time on this earth. They know the jobs suck and will do nothing to change it, so if you can't be bought, they fear you.
In this way, he said, those that were self employed and looking for a secondary job would also typically get ranked lower on their ratings, because it meant that there wasn't any dependency on their employer.
