INTRODUCTION:
Since this is my first time really using Mastodon, I feel like it's only fair to introduce myself.
My name is Val. I came here mainly because I was sick of Twitter and Instagram and the way they have changed. I'm hoping my time here will be better than either of those.
My pronouns are ve/ver/vis and they/them/theirs, and I would appreciate it if you used them for me. If you need help with the pronouns, just let me know!
Here are examples of both sets:
Ve/Ver/Vis/Vis/Verself
Ve has a wonderful personality. That smile of vis really makes me happy. I could talk to ver all day although ve doesn’t talk about verself much. I wonder if vis day has been wonderful. I hope so!
They/Them/Their/Theirs/Themself
They have a wonderful personality. That smile of theirs really makes me happy. I could talk to them all day although they don’t talk about themself much. I wonder if their day has been wonderful. I hope so!

"Do you have something to hide?" is a manipulative rebuke to those that use #encryption.
It would help us all turn this conversation around. Because, the answer is: YES, we do have something to hide.
Things that we should hide, and must question why a government or business NEEDS access to:
- Medical history.
- Sensitive conversations with employers, children, spouses.
- Billing and banking information.
- Purchase information.
- Web search history.
And more...
Neurotypical. Ve/Ver and They/Them.
